1981 Kawasaki KZ 750 – The Spartan
Kawasaki 550 Scrambler
We come across this wounded beast in a South Florida backyard, love at first sight, this was the perfect donor bike for a scrambler project. We changed the front end for a modern reversed fork and upgraded brakes and suspension. The old nervous system was replaced by a new harness. When the new knobby tires were added, we realized that a titanium chain was needed to contain the torque of the creature. A beautiful kercker 4 into 1 added compression. The handmade leather took almost 40 man-hours to complete. The gas tank was sanded and left raw to show the scars of 40 plus intense years. I used this bike for a year and it was epic! We won a couple of awards in local shows for best built. Perfect size and weight for the Florida back roads! It was sold within a week of publishing it.
Time to make another one.

Harley 1200 Tracker
This project was a challenge, the marriage between this American 1200 sporty with the Japanese parts was a turbulent affair. And that made it even more enjoyable. The front end was taken from a 06 Suzuki gsx and machined to perfection by our turner/ mechanical extraordinaire Richard. The coffin tank was hand-made too, so was all the extensive leatherwork. When everything was put together, the Queen of torque was born!
